Would You Like Your Story Told?

Are you a victim/survivor of incest aged 18 years or over? Alternatively, do you have a relationship with a victim/survivor – as a close friend, parent, partner, or other family member? We are looking for people to tell their real-life stories, but only retrospective stories please.

We want to explore the diversity of ways this form of abuse has affected people’s lives to help raise awareness and educate the broader public.

Using the public awareness and media attention created by these podcasts, the NLM team will push for a dedicated government-funded service 24-hour counselling service, tailored exclusively to the needs of intra-familial CSA victim/survivors (current and past), along with a plan for better education around incest, cultural change, and a safer community for all children.

If you would like to consider sharing your story with NLM, please contact Tanya Lee at info@nolaughingmatter.org.au. Please provide an introduction (only). If your story is selected, you will be asked to suggest a comedian/actor or a well-known voice as narrator. NLM will make this request on your behalf. All podcasts will comply with our No Laughing Matter Privacy Policy, including creating pseudonyms. A consent form will also be provided for your protection, along with a statutory declaration form in line with our legal requirements.
